The Children House preschool program fosters independence, curiosity, and academic growth for children aged 3-6 years. 
With hands-on activities in practical life, mathematics, language, 
& cultural studies, students build a strong foundation for lifelong learning. 


Through self-directed exploration and guided instruction, children develop problem-solving skills, creativity, and social confidence.

The Curriculum

Objective: Develop independence, fine and gross motor skills, and care for self and
the environment.

Implementation

  • Care of Self: Teach dressing skills (e.g., tying shoes, buttoning), hand washing,
    and toileting independence.
  • Care of the Environment: Introduce tasks like sweeping, mopping, dusting,
    and watering plants.
  • Food Preparation: Offer activities like peeling and slicing fruits, spreading
    butter, or baking simple recipes.
  • Grace and Courtesy: Model and practice polite behaviour, such as greeting
    others, taking turns, and table manners.
  • Fine Motor Development: Provide activities like pouring, transferring, threading, and using tweezers.

Sensorial: Refine the senses and help children classify and understand the world.
Implementation

  • Visual Discrimination: Use materials like the pink tower, brown stair, and colour tablets.
  • Tactile Exploration: Introduce touch boards, fabric matching, and thermic tablets.
  • Auditory Development: Use sound cylinders, bells, and musical instruments..
  • Olfactory and Gustatory Activities: Offer smelling bottles and tasting exercises.
  • Stereognostic Sense:Provide mystery bags and geometric solids for tactile recognition.

Objective: Develop oral language, pre-reading, writing, and literacy skills.

Implementation

  • Oral Language: Engage in rich conversations, storytelling, and vocabulary building activities.
  • Phonemic Awareness: Use sandpaper letters, movable alphabets, and sound games.
  • Writing: Introduce metal insets, chalkboards, and pencil control exercises.
  • Reading: Provide phonetic readers, three-part cards, and sight word activities.
  • Grammar: Use grammar symbols and sentence analysis materials.

Musical: Develop an appreciation for music and rhythm, and build foundational musical skills. 

Implementation

  • Singing: Teach songs, rhymes, and finger plays.
  • Instruments: Introduce percussion instruments, bells, and simple wind instruments.
  • Rhythm and Movement: Use rhythm sticks, dancing, and clapping games.
  • Music Appreciation: Listen to and discuss different genres of music.
  • Music Theory: Introduce basic concepts like tempo, pitch, and dynamics.
